What the notice says

• Accepted payment methods are certified cheque, money order, bank draft, debit card or cash; credit cards are never accepted.
• If the winning bidder fails to pay immediately, the property is re-offered and the defaulting bidder must pay any shortfall in the new price.
• Federal GST and Québec QST apply to these sales; registrants must give their registration numbers at the time of adjudication.
• Any excess payment is refunded by City cheque within 10 days of adjudication, without interest.
• The owner can pay the taxes owed until the morning of the sale, and properties may be withdrawn from the list until then.
• Bidders must research the condition of premises and buildings, charges and restrictions themselves before the sale.
• Bidders must register the morning of the sale with a registration form and photo ID (licence, health card or passport); representatives need proof of authority.
• The buyer takes possession subject to the owner's one-year redemption right and may not make modifications during that year.
