What the notice says

Conditions and details taken from the official notice that the table above does not show. Read the notice itself before bidding.

• The successful bidder must pay the full amount of the bid immediately by certified cheque or cash; otherwise the property is put back up for sale.
• The amount payable includes municipal and school taxes with interest, publication, administrative, search and land registry fees, and duties including 3% to the Minister of Finance.
• GST and QST are added to the amount payable where applicable.
• The only way to cancel a sale is to pay all taxes, interest and costs in cash or certified cheque before the scheduled sale time.
• The buyer becomes owner at adjudication, subject to a one-year right of redemption (retrait) by the former owner.
• To redeem, the owner must pay the bidder the original sale price plus 10%, reimburse taxes the bidder paid, and hire a notary at own cost.
• If no redemption occurs within the year, the buyer may obtain a final deed of sale through their own notary.
